Location. Belizean Dreams stands along the palm fringed Caribbean coast in the Garifuna village of Hopkins in eastern Belize. Nearby attractions include Tobacco Caye, Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, The Sidewalk Strip and Monkey River.
Hotel Features. This area of Belize is known as a premier fishing, diving, snorkeling and sailing destination. The cayes, offshore atolls and Barrier Reef lure visitors from around the globe. Belizean Dreams offers rental and ownership villas. Although the resort does not house a restaurant, it is located near several casual and fine dining seaside eateries. One evening per week, the resort hosts a beachfront barbecue. This venue offers a convenient opportunity to stroll the resort's vendors' market and meet local artists. The resort's freshwater infinity pool boasts Caribbean Sea vistas. The property offers professionally guided inland and reef tours that include atoll and reef dives, fly fishing, Mayan ruin excursions and rainforest hikes.
Guestrooms. Spacious ocean view villas align the pristine beachfront. One , two and three bedroom villas are air conditioned, and include ceiling fans that circulate ocean breezes. Floors are laid with natural stone or hardwoods, and furniture is handcrafted of mahogany and cedar. Fully equipped kitchens feature granite countertops and custom cabinetry. Living rooms are equipped with televisions and DVD players. Each bedroom adjoins a private bathroom.
Expert Tip. Belizean Dreams representatives can direct guests to Placencia, considered Belize's most up and coming tourist hangout. Within Placencia is The Sidewalk Strip, the world's most narrow street. At 4,071 feet in length and four feet in width, this street offers plentiful shopping and dining opportunities.
